ProfileHello my name is Chingyi and welcome to my toy collection & photography site!
I work as an art director in Orange County, California. During the weekend I enjoy taking photos and discover new places in the beautiful SoCal. I love attending conventions, art shows and craft fairs with my art buddies! Besides collecting Pokemon toys I have lots of other hobbies, from postcard collecting, drawing, walking, traveling, people watching, letter pressing, singing, movies, Kickboxing to Zumba dancing, I guess I like to keep my options open :) |
FAQ
1. What camera(s) do you use?
Kodak EasyShare, Cannon Powershot and Olympus PEN.
2. Where do you buy the figures?
There are many places, shops and online store that sell Pokemon toys. For newer ones I recommend stores such as Target, Walmart and Toys "R" Us. Occasionally I find mint condition toys at local thrift store, flea market and swap meet.
Online stores like Amazon, eBay and anime shops always have what you need, but I highly recommend PKMNCollectors, it's an online community for fans around the world get to sell, buy and trade Pokemon merchandise. I joined the community in 2007, and love it ever since!
3. Why pictures of Pokemon toys?
I wanted to create photos from Pokemon's point of view. Besides putting them in their natural habitat, I also want to make my shots believable as they were real! It can definitely be challenging sometimes, but that's the fun part!
